DTI Accepts ‘Green Awards’ Nominations Until June 30 PDF Print E-mail
DTI provincial director Ermelinda Polllentes said that the awards was conceived to give public recognition to Capiz-based entrepreneurs who are adopting greening initiatives to enhance business sustainability and competitiveness and protect the environment.

“Due to climate change, the way to the future is to go green,” she said, noting that four nominations were already submitted as of June 15 at the DTI Provincial Office.
The award is an initiative of the Capiz Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council, provincial advocates of Green Economic Development and DTI.

It will give recognition to nominated firms or establishments with any of the greening initiatives categorized into energy efficiency, water and waste management, solid waste management, environment – friendly transport, environment – friendly supply and natural resource management.

Awardees will be selected based on operational impact (50%), replicability (35%) and stakeholders participation (15%) criteria.

There shall be two entrepreneur-recipients of the awards and these may come from either of the Small Enterprises with capitalization of up to Ph 15,000,000.00, Medium Enterprises with capitalization of Ph 15,000,001.00 up to  Ph 100,000,000.00 and Large Enterprises or establishments with P100,000,001.00 and above capitalization.

The winners will receive plaques of recognition and tokens which will be awarded during 2016 Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Week celebration next month. (JSC/AAL-PIA6 Capiz)
