NFA Calls on Grains Traders to Renew License
Information Officer Mary Christie Hari-on of NFA Capiz disclosed that grains businessmen should secure their license for them to have legal businesses, particularly on retailing, wholesaling or milling of grains.
She said that if they have secured before their license, they have to renew the same this year to continue their business operation.
Hari-on said that they have set the schedules per municipality for securing or renewal of business license for their ease in transacting business with the NFA.
This January, the grains businessmen from the towns of Dao, Cuartero and Dumarao have been scheduled for renewal of their business license while those from Panay, Panitan and Pontevedra are set on February, she said.
“The schedule for those from Pilar, President Roxas and Maayon is on March, and those from Roxas City is on April,” Hari-on said.
She added that renewal of license for those from Dumalag, Jamindan, Sigma and Tapaz will be in May and those from Ivisan, Mambusao and Sapian will be in June.
New license applicants, she said, can transact business with their office anytime of the year.
For new license applicants, an inspection of establishments and facility requirements is conducted by the NFA investigators within 20 working days after the filing of applications, she said.
However, for those who intend to discontinue their grains business, they can surrender their license or registration certificate with a written notice of discontinuance to the NFA office, Hari-on said. (JCM/JBG/PIA6)
