GSIS Gives Updates, Guidelines for AAOs
“This is our chance to re-orient you as our partners in delivering effective and efficient service to our members,” said GSIS branch manager Glorietta B. Dublas.
GSIS – Roxas City has 15,577 active members and pensioners based on its membership profile as of March 2this year.
The participants were oriented on their responsibilities as well as on the various forms needed to update the records of their co-employees in the GSIS database.
An updated Membership Service Profile will pave way to the correct billing for compulsory premiums, correct granting of loans, accurate computations of claims and absence of reconciling items, said GSIS Membership Department Division chief Joefrey N. Moleno.
Moleno also discussed in detail the usual forms for request in updating with the GSIS Membership Department.
“It is quite a challenge for the GSIS to maintain a credible of each member if don’t have the support AAOs of the agencies,” said GSIS Membership Department manager Elmer C. Baguio.
He added that agencies with less than a thousand members are entitled to a primary and an alternate AAOs while offices with more than a thousand members will be entitled to one primary AAO for every 1,000 employees.
Baguio also clarified that alternate AAO’s access to loan certification will be only activated if the primary AAO is on leave.
The AAOs were also requested to submit the service record of their co-employees aged 58 years old and above to the GSIS Branch office so that by the time they retire they can get their GSIS benefits in just a matter of days.
The half-day activity was highlighted by an open forum which gave an opportunity for the AAOs to raise related issues for clarification to GSIS Membership Department and GSIS Roxas City Branch officials.
The AAO re-orientation is also scheduled in Mindanao next week. (JCM/AAL/PIA6 Capiz)
