“A budget has been allocated for the development of the area to become another tourist destination of the province,” stressed Tanco who has directed the Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (PTCAO) to manage the project.

The park development will include components such as agro-foresty technology and resource enrichment, agri-tourism extension services for resilient farming system, institutional development and human resource enhancement, livelihood diversification and tourism – related product development and destination marketing as well as promotion and events management, among others.

PTCAO chief Alphonsus Tesoro said that park is envisioned as a profit center for the community while at the same time generating income for the provincial government.
“A soft-opening of the new tourism attraction will be in July,” Tesoro noted.

Enrichment and enhancement activities of the park’s infrastructure are underway at the site which is within the circuit of existing tourism destinations like the Lolet’s Eco Park and Suhot Spring in Dao and Dumalag towns, respectively.

The park will also be a home to herbs and ornamental garden, traditional houses of Ati and Panay Bukidnon people, organic vegetable production, livestock raising that will be run by the community project cooperators.

A campsite will also be put up in the area. (JCM/AAL/PIA 6 Capiz)
