Provincial administrator lawyer Jose O. Villanueva said that blood donation exhibits a true Capiceño character as he considered the blood donors as modern day heroes. “You share your life by giving blood,” he stressed.
All the mobile blood donation organizers last year who did not make it as top performers were also given citation for their efforts and support to the blood donation campaign.
The celebration, with the theme “Safe Blood for Saving Mothers”, is embodied in Presidential Proclamation No. 1021 issued in 1997 which declares the month of July of every year as Blood Donors Month. (JCM/AAL/PIA6 Capiz)
