Roxas PNP Gets New Building
Police Regional Office (PRO) – 6 director C/Supt. Josepheus Angan said that the RCPS building is “way ahead to other supposedly leading police stations in the country” in his message during the blessing and inauguration ceremonies.
“With so much development, there will be challenges in the maintenance of peace and order,” Angan stressed, challenging the RCPS policemen to strive more to ensure a peaceful and orderly communities.
The new RCPS is in line with priorities of PNP Chief Director General Alan Purisima for a decent, highly equipped and state of the art police stations and offices in the country.
The region’s top cop has also thanked the local officials particularly Roxas City mayor Angel Alan Celino for the support to RCPS and commitment to peace and order.
For his part, Roxas City mayor Angel Alan Celino has committed additional P2-million for further improvement of the new RCPS building and in the anti-criminality campaign.
“This new police station is a symbol of expanding development and a widening scope of our responsibility,” Celino said. “It is also an embodiment of our commitment to service and to peace and order on our beloved City of Roxas,” he added.
The activity was also graced by Roxas City vice-mayor Ronnie Dadivas, Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) Officer – In – Charge Supt. Thomas Frias, Jr. and RCPS chief Supt. Julio Gustilo, Jr., among others.
Based on the plan, the old police station along Bilbao Street here will be utilized as RCPS sub-station, custodial center for minors and a space for drug dependents who would voluntarily submit to initial rehabilitation. (JCM/AAL/PIA 6 Capiz)
