The two-day sale of goods and basic commodities at discounted prizes is open to all Capiceños and in time with the release of mid-year bonus for employed sector workers.
DTI – Capiz Business Regulation and Consumer Welfare Division head Ma. Angelita L. Colmo said that the initiative aims to improve consumers’ access to prime commodities at manufacturers or distributors prices.
School supplies and uniforms are also on sale at the plaza.
The exhibitors who responded to the DTI – Capiz invitation include Business People, Inc., Valiant Iloilo Enterprises, KTKM Distributors Inc., JECO Distributor Corporation, Majiq Food Distribution, CAL’s Poultry Supply Corporation, Anking Merchandise, New Iloilo Supreme Marketing, Dranix Distributor, Inc., San Nicolas Food Corporation, Asia Pacific Aqua Marine, Inc., CAPROX Health Products, Capiz Small Coconut Farmers Marketing Cooperative, Fergies Food Products, Spanggo Café and Pasalubong Center, CSU Processed Fruit Products, Dely Breadshop, Ecoprods Health and Beauty Products, PWARBS Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Mambusao Banana Planters Multi-Purpose Coop, Akoni Homemade Healthy Foods and Mama Jean’s Mushroom.
The opening ceremonies were graced by Roxas City Councilor Matthew James Viterbo, Provincial Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development Council chairperson Danny So Chan, Philippine Retailers Association – Capiz Chapter chairperson Engr. Reubin Yap and DTI – Capiz employees.
Diskwento Caravan is a nationwide project by DTI to ease the financial burden of the consumers and the same time provide additional or alternative market for manufacturers and producers, especially MSMEs.
