Capiz Receives P7-M ‘Good Housekeeping’ Incentive PDF Print E-mail
DILG Regional Director Evelyn Trompeta led the awarding to Capiz Gov. Victor A. Tanco, Sr. before media practitioners, some provincial government officials as well as departments heads and DILG regional and provincial staff.

“This represents the hardwork in building Capiz as a model province of good governance,” said Tanco when asked for comment after the turn over of the incentive.

He added that the amount will be used on road projects in Maayon, Dumalag ang Tapaz towns.

In September 2012, a marker for the Seal of Good Housekeeping award was given by Trompeta to Tanco in a simple ceremony.

The DILG award recognizes the LGUs exemplary performance in governance, transparency and accountability.

It is also a mechanism used to identify LGUs that exhibit strong performance in the key governance areas of planning, fiscal management, transparency and accountability and valuing performance monitoring.

The P7-million incentive for the provincial government came from the Performance Challenge Fund and will serve as a counterpart funding to high-impact capital investment projects in the Annual Investment Program consistent with national priorities. (JCM/AA/PIA 6 Capiz)
