Written by Vincent Bigcas
ROXASCITY, Capiz (Aug. 18) – Police officials in Capiz are one with the priority thrusts of newly installed Philippine National Police Regional Director Agrimero Cruz Jr.
Capiz Police Provincial Director Domingo Cabillan said he supports the three-point agenda of the new PNP director, namely the zero tolerance to criminality, strict implementation of Integrated Transformation Program and Performance Governance System, and enhancement of morale and welfare of the PNP personnel.

Cabillan also assured Cruz that the PNP officers and personnel in Capiz will strictly abide by the mandate of the new Director as they have been doing said thrusts before.

“We have been implementing the said PNP programs before but we are happy that the same have been reiterated for us for direction setting,” he said.

Cabillan added that among those anti-illegal activities that they will focus include the arrest wanted persons, illegal drugs, illegal gambling and illegal logging operations.

During his recent visit in Capiz, Cruz vowed not to tolerate people who are engaged in illegal activities in Western Visayas, stressing that intensified police operations against all forms of criminality will be conducted.

Cruz also stressed that he will strictly implement the ITP to enhance the performance of every PNP member and to keep the morale and welfare and the PNP men for them to perform better.

Cruz, together with Deputy Regional Director for Operations Wesley Barayuga, was here to meet the Capiz PNP men and to pay a courtesy call with Capiz Governor Victor Tanco.

Earlier, Cruz vowed to strengthen the grassroots approach in maintaining peace and order in the barangays.

Cruz said he will upgrade the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPATs) and the deployment of one police officer to assist each BPAT.
