‘Caravan Ni Alan’ Serves Cagay Residents
ROXAS City (June 21) — Hundreds of residents in Brgy. Cagay here have availed themselves of various services by the city government through “Caravan ni Alan” on June 18.
The caravan seeks to highlight the initiative of Mayor Angel Alan Celino dubbed “Roxas City, Palangga Ko Ini.”
According to Celino, the caravan also aims to involve the people in all the activities in their respective barangays, and to promote trust and interaction between the people and the city government.
Celino led the city government officials, department heads and some city hall employees who trooped to the Cagay covered gym to deliver different caravan services.
The services include, among others:
* medical and dental mission
* feeding program for children and senior citizens
* livelihood training and orientation program
* job fair
* seed distribution
* lectures on PhilHealth benefits, community health team organization, dengue awareness and children’s safety; and
* family planning counseling.
Celino also pledged to give the barangay P2 million for the construction of a drainage system there.
Councilors Teresa Almalbis, Powell del Rosario, Matthew Viterbo, Carla Abela and Julius Abela were present during the activity.
Cagay Barangay Captain Arthur Aragon thanked the city government for bringing various services to their village.
The city government will hold the same activity in Brgy. Dinginan today and in Brgy. Libas on June 28.
The “Caravan ni Alan” was first launched in Brgy. Banica in September last year.
