Mentor Cited For Agri Achievement PDF Print E-mail
ROXAS City (Nov. 9)– A Capiceño educator was recently given recognition for his leadership and achievements in agriculture.
Capiz State University (CapSU) extension associate Nino Manaog disclosed that CapSU vice president for research and extension Dr. Geronimo Gregorio was conferred this year’s Agricultural Research Award by the Philippine Agri-vironment Educators and Entrepreneurs, Inc. (PASSAGE).
Manaog said the awarding ceremony was held during the 15th Biennial Conference-Workshop in Roxas City.
He said that Gregorio was cited for being an achiever in agriculture whose accomplishments made an outstanding impact on agricultural development.
Aside from Gregorio, Director General Dr. William Dar of the India-based International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics was likewise awarded the 2011 Agriculture Administrator Award.
Dar was likewise cited for his exemplary achievement that made outstanding impacts on agricultural development toward food security.
The two achievers were awarded plaques of recognition and cash prizes.
