ROXAS CITY (Sept. 24)--Clients of various government offices in Capiz can expect further ease in public business transactions upon completion and operation of the Capiz Government and Business Center (CGBC) at the Provincial Park here.
Capiz Gov. Victor A. Tanco, Sr. has enjoined the different national government agencies (NGA) to occupy the three-story building expected to be ready for occupancy next year.
The invitation was conveyed by Tanco during the opening program of the “One-Stop-Shop” of government services last Sept. 22 at the Provincial Capitol here.
“Probably next year we will be in one building,” he said, drawing applause from government employees and clients before the actual delivery of converged various social services.
He added the project will enable people to transact with government offices only under one roof, saving them time and money.
At present, NGAs are spread out in different privately-owned commercial buildings .
Capiz Provincial Press Bureau (CPPB) chief Edward Basilonia said that there will be also commercial spaces at the 1,600 square meter center.
Construction of CGBC officially started last July 12, 2010 and is expected to be completed before 2011 if no revisions in the building plan will be made. (JCM/AAL/PIA 6 Capiz) |
