Capiz Gov Echoes P-Noy's Call For More Public-Private Partnerships PDF Print E-mail
ROXAS CITY, Capiz, May 2 (PIA) – Capiz Gov. Victor A. Tanco, Sr. encouraged the members of the Provincial Micro Small and Medium Enterprise Development (PMSMED) Council to heed the call of President Benigno S. Aquino III for more public – private partnerships (PPP) to further improve the quality of life of the Capiceños.

This was conveyed by Tanco during the Council’s Provincial Development Action Planning Workshop last April 26 and 27 here. “I strongly believe that MSME’s are one of the pillars in attaining economic stability and achieving progress for the province,” he said.

The Partnership has also been showcased in the successful celebration of CAPIZtahan 2011 Festival last April 15 to 17 that was jointly managed by the Capiz and Roxas City governments and a private group ONE Capiz. The celebration which marked the province’s 110th foundation anniversary has the theme “Public-Private Partnership: Foundation of Good Governance.”

The chief provincial executive noted that the strengthened partnership between and among public and private entities in the province depicts the legacy of leadership, solidarity and advocacy of all Capiceños to work as one community and collectively reap the fruits of the concerted efforts.

PPP aims to strengthen the ties of the government and the private sector by opening the economy further for private ventures. (JCM/AAL/PIA 6 Capiz)
