Roxas City PNP To Establish Mobile Public Address System PDF Print E-mail
"This will be unique because we plan out to set up big speakers on our patrol car anytime this week," said RCPS Police Community Relations (PCR) section chief Insp. Rowell Buccat.

The proposed initiative is an electronic amplification system that will be used to announce a prerecorded anti-criminality campaign in a particular area.

"We are more focused on psychological offensives to convince the residents that they must also take their part in the maintenance of peace and order," he added.

The heightened implementation of PCR activities by the RCPS is in view of the PCR Month celebration with the theme "Matatag na Pagkakaisa ng Pambansang Pulisya at Mamamayan Tungo sa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran."

The month-long observance is embodied in Presidential Proclamation No. 764 which declares the month of July of every year as PCR Month.

For his part, RCPS chief P/Supt. Leo Batiles noted that the station has a continuing barangay as well as school-based anti-criminality program to get the participation of the community in crime prevention.

"We cannot do it alone," Batiles emphasized during a press conference on anti-crime program of action and the city's current peace and order situation that was attended by RCPS top police officers.

The city's top cop added that the campaign against illegal drugs, gambling, robbery and various forms of street crimes, among others, will be the priority of the RCPS this year. (PIA)
