Capiz Cops 'Transform' Into Campaign Poster Busters PDF Print E-mail
The Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) through its Police Community Relations (PCR) Section started the clean-up operations last May 13 at Barangay Lanot, here discarding election campaign materials including posters, streamers, flyers and billboards.

PNP units were also instructed to closely coordinate with concerned government agencies, local government units, and NGOs in undertaking the clean-up drive.

The PNP's participation in this nationwide clean-up drive is consistent with the pro-environment advocacy of the PNP as among the agency's values of Maka-Diyos, Makabayan. Maka-tao and Makakalikasan.

The CPPO has also sponsored a Holy Mass before its Traditional Monday Flag Raising and Awarding Ceremonies to thank God for the recently concluded peaceful elections.

"All cops received a commendation from S/Supt. Angan citing their remarkable performance in the recently concluded elections during the awarding rites," said a CPPO blogsite.

"I would like to congratulate everyone for a job well done. It is good to note that elections here in Capiz had transpired in an orderly and peaceful manner," Angan said.

He added that the PNP in coordination with the Philippine Army, Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and other concerned agencies as well as non-government organizations had contributed in ensuring an honest, orderly and peaceful elections (HOPE). (PIA/A.Lumaque)
