“It will be attended by the Municipal Election Officers aside from JSCC members,” said Commission on Elections (Comelec) Provincial Election Supervisor Wil Arceño.
The JSCC in the province has also facilitated recently the conduct of prayer vigils at the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) and various local police stations in the province to seek God’s intervention for honest, orderly and peaceful elections.
A review of the police deployment plan, security plan and other related matters were discussed by the center during its conference last April 6.
It was presided by Arecño, Philippine Army’s 47th Infantry Battalion Commanding Officer Col. Tyne Bañas and CPPO Director S/Supt. Josepheus Angan.
The JSCC aims to counter any threats from communist terrorists and organized crime groups, stop proliferation of loose firearms and political killings, and dismantle partisan armed groups and arrest its members.
The establishment of the JSCC was made through the signing of an agreement by Philippine National Police Chief Director General Jesus Verzosa and Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff General Victor Ibrado last year.(PIA/PN)
